New Music Report – January 2025

Happy New Year! As we kick off 2025 at WIVH, here’s some new music you’ll be hearing this month…

The beginning of a new year will often bring reflection on the previous year and a focused view of the year ahead. “If The Lord” from Zahriya Zachary is the perfect song to look both backward and forward. It puts God’s past faithfulness to us in the cross-hairs and gives us the encouragement of that same faithfulness going before us once again.

Tenth Avenue North enters 2025 with their latest song, “Kind To Myself.” We may continually beat ourselves up over the sins we commit again and again, but the best way to overcome those sin stumbling blocks is to agree with God and repent, then look to the kindness of our Savior for His forgiveness.

Much like the song from Tenth Ave., the newest release from The Afters looks at God’s pursuit of us despite our sinfulness. “You Never Gave Up On Me” highlights His love and grace that finds us no matter how far we’ve driven ourselves from Him.

“Need To Know” is a retro-sounding yet fresh song from Joel Vaughn that dives into God’s sovereignty. It brings our uncertainty and doubts to an intersection with faith and hope, where we have to make the decision to fully trust Him.

These songs, plus new music from The Newsboys, BrandonLake, and more, will be there as you listen toThe Voice of Hope this January!
