New Music Report – May 2-26

It’s already MAY? Wow…Guess I better fill you in on what new stuff you’ll hear music-wise as you tune in to The Voice of Hope.

What is old is new again as Tommee Profitt and Mara Justine have just released a new version of “Blessed Assurance.” Their take on the classic hymn (written in 1873), is both familiar and reimagined, and is certain to grab the ears of both old and new listeners.

The sister-duo RENEE is back this month with their latest song called “Stepping Stones.” It’s a personal look at Genesis 50:20, “You meant evil against me; but God meant it for good.” The rocks that life throws our way, can be used as stepping stones to draw us closer to our Creator.

The love of God is often an inspiration for songs in the world of CCM. Jordan St. Cyr’s newest release, “Wild Love” equates God’s love to a fierce lion or a raging river that we cannot outrun, and it will find us—no matter where we are.

Passion is hitting the airwaves with a great new anthem entitled “Just That Good.” This joy-filled song is all about God’s faithfulness, and reminds us that He’ll never let us down. Get ready to turn it up and sing along!

I love a good fight song, and Emerson Day delivers with her latest “No Smoke.” She pulls from the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Like them, God is with us in the fires we face. He is also more than able to deliver us from those fires as well.

Thanks for making WIVH a part of your everyday, and thank you for your continued faithful support that allows us to bring you songs and programming that all point to our Lord and Savior Jesus!
