Burl and Shirley Updyke founded WRGN in 1984. With the desire to use “the miracle of radio” burning in their hearts, they invested 27 years of their lives into the growth of WRGN. Burl served as General Manager and Chief Engineer. Shirley served as Program Director. They were the team that was the face of WRGN for almost three decades.
