From Us to You – January 2025

As I write this, it’s the early hours of the morning and I’m sipping a cup of coffee in front of the Christmas tree…counting my blessings! I’m not talking about the gifts I received this year, the dollars in my bank account, the car parked in the driveway, or even the roof over my head. Instead, I’m pondering the loving God who sent his Son into the fallen world because He saw it as worth redeeming. I’m considering a family who sticks together through thick and thin. I’m reflecting on friends who call, check in or drop by “just because.”

While we may put up our Christmas tree in December, January is the month that I spend more time enjoying it! The run up to the holidays at our house and here at the radio station are usually much too busy to just sit and reflect. It is important that we do reflect though. It’s so easy for us to get busy doing good things that we miss out on time to give thought to the blessings that are a part of our everyday life.

As we enter the year 2025, know that WIVH is in a good place. We had a successful Share-a-thon last March at a new location, where we were able to meet many of you, our WIVH listening family. Also, some equipment was updated and our sister station, WRGN, brought on a new team member, Terry Perrine, which ultimately benefits WIVH as well. I cannot tell you how often we hear “keep doing what you’re doing, the islands need Christian radio and WIVH!”

We couldn’t agree more, and so we will press on with the help of our wonderful team here, faithful ministry partners like you, and the strength of the Lord!
