“There’s just not enough time in the day…” How often have you heard that phrase? How often have you said that phrase? The fact is, if there were 26 hours in a day, it still wouldn’t be enough for most of us! Don’t believe me? Do you realize you have an extra day this month? 24 hours that you did not have last year, and won’t have for another 3 years. Yes, a leap year means that we will have extra time… and we’ll still be amazed about how time flies!

We have a tendency to fill (or for some of us, overfill) our days–sometimes with things that matter, but often with things that don’t. Psalm 90:12 says, “So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.” This verse has nothing to do with the calendar, though; it’s talking about making our day count for the One we are serving. This psalm was written by Moses… a man who spent 40 years wandering in the wilderness with the children of Israel. This wandering was not without purpose, however–it was a learning process. Not just for Moses, but for the children of Israel!

Oh, that we would make the most of the time and opportunities that God has given us to serve Him. Here at WIVH, we have the privilege of using each and every single day–24 hours a day, 7 days a week–to broadcast HOPE. We can only do this because of you, our listeners, who use not only your time but your resources to help make this ministry possible. We could not do what we do without our volunteers and supporters!

Seeking a heart of wisdom,
